Trees

A tree is a woody plant distinguished by its significant height and a single main trunk or stem that supports a canopy of branches and leaves. Unlike shrubs, trees typically have a single dominant trunk that rises well above the ground, providing structural support. The height of trees can vary widely, but they are generally taller than shrubs, often exceeding 15 feet (4.5 meters) and can reach towering heights of over 300 feet (91 meters) in some species. Trees have a variety of growth forms, including upright, spreading, weeping, or columnar, and they play a crucial role in ecosystems by providing habitat, producing oxygen, and supporting biodiversity.
